Two faced baby

You may notice from the title of this post that it’s about a two-faced baby, and you may also notice this picture of a sharp young Indian couple holding a two-faced baby. So if you don’t wish to see a somewhat disturbing close-up picture of the baby or perhaps feel you’d be offended by me making fun of it, I’d advise you to leaveĀ  immediately by clicking here.

…If you’re still reading this, you’re not a total loss.

So, if you didn’t catch this story, this baby was born in India with a rare condition, – “craniofacial duplication” – which basically means “the baby got two faces.” To be exact, she has two ears, two noses, two sets of lips, and four eyes (which all blank simultaneously. cuh reeeeepy.) in fact, here’s what that might look like:

O_O_O_O

-_-_-_-

O_O_O_O

-_-_-_-

O_O_O_O

-_-_-_-_-

and so on and so forth.

O_O_O_~

and that’s two-faced baby winking.

anyway. Within 8 hours of Lali (the two-faced baby) being born, her and her parents are swarmed by villagers who believe that the child is…a goddess. (which i kind of doubt, because i know a lot of middle-aged female hippie candle enthusiasts who fill up most of the available goddess positions in the world. As far as i can tell from their bumper stickers. [goddesses drive volvos.])

So now Lali’s one-faced parents are getting up to 100 village people a day showing up to touch their baby’s feet and offer them money. Huh…… what a weird get-rich scheme; basically you needĀ  to have sex by a nuclear power plant or something so you can father a lucrative freak child.

“She’s a goddess, check this out she even glows in the dark.”

Anyway, by now you’re probably just looking at the picture:

she’s got her mothers eyes.

and her fathers. ;-)

Better still, the chief of the village now wishes to erect a temple to honor Durga, the goddess that Lali is supposedly the incarnation of. (i want a temple.)
